About THE OLIVER/HEWATT/EPES/KNIGHT CONNECTION
WHAT CONNECTION, WHERE?

Since beginning my geneaology research about thirty years ago (when we physically had to go to libraries, city halls, vital statistics offices, cemeteries) I have discovered many family relationships with many individuals. The most unusual is with my husbands brother in law (married to his sister, (in other words, my brother in law by marriage), Jerry Knight,On both sides of my family.

We both share an ancestor from England, John Epps born 1480 in Old Romney, Kent, England. John had two sons, Alyn and Thomas. I am descended from Thomas through his daughter Thomasina (1562)and my brother in law in descended from Alyn. Then our lines crossed again in the 1800's when one of his great aunts (also descended from the Epes Line) married my great uncle.

This site is for the Oliver, Hewatt, Epes, Knight very twisted tree. I have not added any information on side branches because complete information for them can be researched through RootsWeb, Ancestry.com and Genealogy.com. For major players, I have listed living children in the notes section.

Start with John Epes (1480) and trace his descendants down through Oliver, Hewatt and Knight.

HAVE FUN
